Sunday August 4 -- Como

Sunday in Italy was surreal. Still can’t believe we’re here where our boy has been for the last two years. We started by attending church in Como where Jackson served for 6 months. We were able to meet several of his friends and ward members who were so excited to see him again and told us he was a ‘special boy.’ Then we crossed the border into Switzerland where we picnicked on a hillside park that overlooks Lake Lugano. We then traveled back to Milan because miraculously we were able to secure tickets to see The Last Supper by da Vinci. On the way back to the hotel we stopped again in Como and walked the city. We stopped and took a picture in front of Jackson’s apartment while he served here, ate dinner by Lake Como, randomly walked into the current Elders serving in this area and saw the ancient wall that surrounded the city when it was originally built by the Romans.
