3 Week Update
We are coming towards the end of my 4th transfer here in Como! 2 more weeks, which is still a large chunk, but crazy nonetheless. Needless to say it has been a fast (almost) 6 months. We still have so many sweet people growing so much and showing excitement to learn even more! Not too many new people to talk about this time but many of the same as the past one!
We have also had some good p-day adventures the past few weeks as well! Seeing as I don't know where I will be moving to, I wanted to make sure that I really got my Milan p-day in so we finally had one with a lot of places I had been dying to see. We went to the biggest park in Milan with a castle (what!?!?!) We saw some Roman entry ways into the city (as Milan was the capital of the Roman empire for more than a decade). Went to Eataly (a big supermarket that is also in...Chicago:) )We went to the heart of Milan for fashion week. Which led to us seeing some random boy band and an old naked guy in the span of 2 minutes. And I got to see the UniCredit tower (tallest building in Italy). It was funny walking through the modern part of Milan for a change. As another missionary puts it "It feels like I'm just walking in Seattle".
The Lord really has magnified our efforts. I don't even feel like we deserve it sometimes! But it has been such a great learning curve and helps to give us the energy and push to keep working harder! (But not too hard as we take care of ourselves too and make sure we do not run faster than we can, don't worry Madre) Some photos by my companion:
