Nearly halfway update

Things are going well here in Como! We have found a lot of new people, done a few lessons, and continue to try our hardest to meet with some of our old friends but they are pretty hard to catch sometimes ahah. But we see miracles daily and are always humbled by seeing the Lord do his work and just makes us watch sometimes (like how I messed up the bus and we had to wait 2 hours...but we found 5 people in that time!) Speaking of fun little miracles, while walking to our appointment one time we ran into a tourist (not the biggest shock in the world...) but as soon as I noticed she kept saying "wo" for "where" I took out the bressanone German and helped her find the train station she was looking for and explained where we are from and that we are missionaries here! She may not be baptized but she knows that boys that helped her get to her train. We also get to help a lot of tourist take their bags up the stairs Como San Giovanni (fun tip: always take the train to Como Lago)

With some of our members we do our (not so) daily study and we have been reading the Pearl of Great Price and let me tell you, it's something special. It is kinda weird that my first full read through is in italian but I am still catching all the great gold found in those precious books. It makes you think just how truly amazing it is that we have modern prophets and revelation. I always think back to a video about the restoration when a preacher approaches....someone, and calls him crazy for believing that God still speaks to us today and his response was so simple yet deeply profound. I don't remember exactly but along the lines of, has God forgotten about us? Would he stop talking to us? Does he not still love us? And sometimes that simple truth is what can make me so excited to talk to people and see that click in their eyes.

Anyway the past 2 p-days have been in Milan so honestly nothing new there (I will make it to the unicredit tower before I leave....hopefully) OH and our new mission cards have the tap feature and you have never seen missionaries get so excited about anything before. It is the most embarrassing thing to always have to say "Devo inserirla..." as they then take the Bank of America card with attitude. As sorella wood said "we are finally caught up to the times"

I can't believe there is a year left! I love being out here with such great people and leaders and members! There have been some amazing experiences that I am so grateful for!
