La vità è così
Ciao a tutti! Spero che tutto vada bene per voi :)
( I see my friends send stuff in their mission language so I wanted to join the fun)
Well depending on how you count, summer is nearly halfway over already. I can't believe I'm actually enjoying it? I've never been one to like the heat and bright sun but there is something about it that does boost my energy a bit and push me to work just a little bit harder. Over the past two weeks we:
🚄Had interviews at the mission office again. There was another birthday just like last time, and I got to meet the new senior couple
🚇Went to Milan last p-day and basically just sat in a dead field while the sun roasted our skin (but it was nice to get a bit of a tan started)
🚎Did a lot of Bus finding. 1,000% my favorite way to do it, especially if the bus has A/C
🌇Drew the entire "Rete metropolitana di Milano" during one of my studies...
☔Attended a baptism for Como 1! It was the first one they have had in years, the whole ward was excited and everyone kept running to check on the water, asking if everything was okay. Presidente & Sorella Wood even showed up (and our entire district)
1 funny story: On our way to interviews we were told to be very fast, and let's just say I was the only one (ok not the only) who understood the assignment. So after RUNNING to catch the metro, it left before the others could arrive...which meant we had -1 minutes to catch the train at the other station we were going to. So Anziano MacLay and I were told to just run and stall. Well we tried, but we ran into 2 dead ends at elevators and couldn't find the stairs to the Binario. Traveling in large groups is not always easy and the people seeing our mistakes were too busy laughing to care when we would run into their bags. And you should see the face of someone just waiting for the elevator when a group of people is running at full force towards them. Anyway, we didn't make the train and had to wait 30 more minutes. But it worked out and I passed my interview :)
I was doing a great job of writing out this email but then we had to meet our district and now I am just about out of time. But I have once again been thinking about Jacob 5 and how "It grieveth me that I should lose this tree" is continually repeated. I think about all of my friends and family that I love so much, and how I think it is impossible for them to understand just how much. But this is still just a sliver of how our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ love us. They are both deeply invested in us. They rejoice, weep, and work with us. In every trial, difficulty, and moment. I have a talk this Sunday so I may be thinking more on this topic! If there are additional insights, scriptures, talks that others have that would be helpful to me!
P.S. For the fourth of July we dipped some tea bags in the lake and *almost* ate at mcdonalds
Love you all! And hope this week is great!
