20 Anni

This week was somewhat of a blur. I wouldn't say it flew by, but it also felt like it just was 2 days long. Since I don't have the most time (helping with transfers today!) I'll just share about the best Sunday yet! It started pretty slow and normal, until we were missing 3 families that normally come. It was sad but nothing crazy. Then as I knelt to bless the Sacrament 8 people rush into the room and filled the seats right infront of me. I look up, do some quick math and break more bread seeing as the amount of people just increased by 50%. I also notice one is wearing a cotapaxi (or however that is spelled) jacket. So I knew they were Americans. Problaby from Utah. As we were cleaning up after the lunch our member Consuelo (remember the mom who runs everything?) told us that everytime the branch is missing people, we have visitors. She said it's happened too many times to deny.

Then we waited at the church for our first meeting with Daslin! She is amazing. During a blitz in our area we had some sisters find her. They said it had been an hour and a half of being rejected when they looked at each other with defeat asking each other who it is they're supposed to find. Then they turned around and saw Daslin and said "that's her!". They approached her and said they were prompted to be bold and ask if she wanted to go to church with them. She said yes and began to cry. She told them she had prayed that morning because she felt like she was ignoring God and wanted to find the truth. She told them she had deleted every app from her phone but the bible. She grew up in Germany and luckily the sisters had a German book or mormon to give her. She couldn't come to church but we had our lesson with her and it went so well. It felt like I was just talking to an old friend (it helped that her English is basically perfect since my German isn't too advanced yet). The lesson was over an hour and a half and we talked about many many things answering all of her many questions. And she said she'll be at church Sunday!

Then we met with Sury. Another person found during the blitz in a town that Elders weren't even supposed to go to (they got off the train too late). But sury is very thankful that they did. She said it's without a doubt a miracle. Sunday was our second lesson with her. We walked in and sat down. She then told us she read a pamphlet we left her and said "it's true. This is the true church. I read I need to get baptized. How do I do that? I was baptized in the catholic church but I need to be baptized again with the right power" (I mean she said it in italian and I may have writen it a bit more gramtically correct) So we have her on date for later this month. Although like with many people here she works every Sunday during church until the hotel closes in April; so we'll see.

Overall good week! And many miracles!

Love you all!!!
And thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes, especially all the random Italians on Facebook that I don't know at all😀
