Ciao a tutti, Another week that has flown by; can't believe I've been here for a month now! It's really hard to remember everything that goes on and keep my weeks straight. This was another week of meeting with less active members and trying to meet new people. We have an amazing new friend named Giulia that we started talking to last week. She was interested in a Facebook ad by the church about prayer and we've met with her a few times and introduced her to some members. She said she would even come to church (spoiler alert she didn't). But still going well.  On Monday we had an exchange in Ravenna which is a lot cooler town than I thought it would be. So a lot of us were all in the town together and we just went out and found as many people as possible. And for the day I swapped companions (I was still in a trio) for Anziano Churchill and Bartholomew. It was nice having a change and they're really cool. I also think that was the most I've spoken to people...

I'm a Ferrari

This one is for the car lovers. I'll start with last p-day we got to go to the Ferrari Mesuem in Maranello. The only problem is that it took quite awhile to get there. So we had to take a train from rimini to Modena. Once there we got bus tickets to go to the mesuem. Okay first mistake (and only mistake really). To keep a long story short we were given the wrong bus tickets because there are two mesuems (one close and one far) and the police on the bus checking our tickets did not find seem to find much mercy in our story. He starting taking Passports and credit cards for a €65 ticket. But the Italians both on and off the bus were not afraid to confront the cops in our defense. In the end after their boss showed up we were just told to make sure to be more specific next time. On the way home we just payed for the more expensive ferrari shuttle to take us back to the station to avoid further problems. It was well worth it and I'm glad I was able to knock something off my itali...

A train a bus and a hike

Coming a day late because I did not have a computer. This week must be feeling fly like a G6 because it went by so fast! It's hard to think of everything because it doesn't feel like it's been long enough to have things to write about. I'll start with where I left of last week. After writing my email we headed off on our p-day adventure up to Faenza and Brisighella to go on an amazing hike up to an old bell tower (pics).  I got to finally see the ward this Sunday! There were actually more people than I thought but I think my expectations were reallllllllly low. But I really do love all the members, and the bits of their testimony that I understood. I'm also counting my blessing with having general conference and then testimony meeting that I haven't been called to speak yet (check again next week). And in typical fashion we ate at the church again; this time a pretty typical spaghetti with red sauce. After eating we went for my first in person teaching lesson....

Facciamo Così

It's hard to believe that I've been in Italy for a week already. It all started last monday when we left the MTC at 4:30 in the morning. We flew from Utah to ATL and then straight to Milan. I enjoyed my layover in Atlanta and being able to say goodbye to GA before leaving American soil for 2 years. I had waves of the realness of everything setting in. I remember during the flight I was able to look over NYC and think of how weird it will be to live in another country.  We arrived in Milan (a group of 20 from the MTC) all very tired but excited to begin our journey. Walking out of customs we were greeted by Presidante and Sorella Wood who said that their only goal was to keep us awake that day (I think I'm the only one who succeeded at that goal). So we left from the airport straight to the Train station and took the Metro to the Duomo. We had our first Italian pizza and just looked around the city for a bit. Then we had to go back to the mission o...
