Moving!

I have started and stopped this email many times through the transfer but seeing as it's over I thought I'd write a little something. Just as a reminder I was in Forlì, I just finished my second transfer with Anzaino Karren. This was the transfer with both Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Forlì is a little branch. We went between 9-20 people in church a week (yes the 9 was Christmas Eve). I was able to have many monday night dinners with our YSA (2 people) and made good friendships! Some of the best lessons were by people refering themselves (amazing). One of these lead us on a 20km round trip bike ride to a bascilica in the middle of farmland.  I had great experiences being with members for the holidays. And english class always left me laughing! We have some fun people.  I had many trips to Bologna. Honestly not my favorite but they have a nice Apple store. Oh and the train station is pretty cool.  For the new year I'm excited to restart the Book of Mormon. For this

Christmas Tree is Up

Well, we only have one more week of this transfer. It is only 5 weeks. We will find out if I get a new companion soon. Things are going pretty well! We have our 2 friends on date to be baptized. One just passed their baptismal interview this week. The other has been a little harder to contact🙁...I also have an old friend, from when I was back in Bressanone that lives in Trento, who has decided to be baptized! He is my best friend here in Italy and I am so happy to see how close to Christ he feels! We are praying that I will be allowed to go be there for his baptism.  While this transfer was short, it is still surprising how fast it has be end of next transfer is in 2024. How are we already so close to the end of the remember? Starting 2023 and realizing, it would be the full year that I would be here in Italy. And it felt like a very daunting task. But in the end it has been one of the best years and I can't believe how fast it's going. While I am close to where I trained the

First email of 11th transfer!

Sorry in advance that I can no longer BCC. If you wish to email me be sure to not respond all🙃(or try your best) We had mcdonalds about 3 times last week...but hey we found people along the way :) Hello everyone! I know it has been awhile and for that I do apologize, but much has happened. For starters I left Como about 2 weeks ago. I was pretty sad... We had a good set-up in Como. I got along great with all the missionaries and I had to leave some of the first investigators that I had got to meet with on a pretty regular basis (they said they'd miss me btw). And we had to say goodbye to Sorella Watling as she went home to the Calabasas of England. Anyway I moved to Forlì. It's right next to Rimini where I was trained (our boarders touch but it's still like a 45 minute train ride). I was not the most excited about that but I did an exchange here once and met some members that I really enjoyed! And I wanted to go back to San Marino, so yay I guess! But I also had to remind

3 Week Update

Image
We are coming towards the end of my 4th transfer here in Como! 2 more weeks, which is still a large chuck, but crazy nonetheless. Needless to say it has been a fast (almost) 6 months. We still have so many sweet people growing so much and showing excitement to learn even more! Not too many new people to talk about this time but many of the same as the past one!  We have also had some good p-day adventures the past few weeks as well! Seeing as I don't know where I will be moving to, I wanted to make sure that I really got my Milan p-day in so we finally had one with a lot of places I had been dying to see. We went to the biggest park in Milan with a castle (what!?!?!) We saw some Roman entry ways into the city (as Milan was the capital of the Roman empire for more than a decade). Went to Eataly (a big supermarket that is also in...Chicago:) )We went to the heart of Milan for fashion week. Which led to us seeing some random boy band and an old naked guy in the span of 2 minutes. And

Good 2 Weeks

It's email time again! The weeks have been flying by pretty fast here; I can't believe it has been 19 weeks in Como already. And I still don't want to leave in 5 weeks since so many good things are going on! Let's catch up on some of our friends: -Villanueva family: We have only done a couple lessons so far but they are a cute little Peruvian family that is so sweet. We were also instantly invited into their house which is somewhat rare. We also take our amazing member Fernando with us because he speaks spanish so he is able to clear up those things.  -Micheal: He is already a missionary. I found him like a month ago now and honestly felt kinda bad that I was even reporting him as a find because I could not tell how interested he was at all. But he agreed to meet again so I had faith. The first time we went over he invited his son and they were so into it. And the next time he brought another friend to join us who was more interested than the first two! -Jose: He is jus

Another Update!

Okay these last few weeks have been pretty crazy ahah. But sometimes in a good way! I think that the highlight was this past weekend. For the first time in a long time we had a friend come to church with us! His name is Jose and we met like a month ago and he has been busy but then said that he is free and would come! It was so great, it felt like just being with a real friend. During the second hour we were asked by a member to come to class with him while he taught the youth. And he invited our friend of course and as soon as he found out it was his first time he was so great! He explained how church worked and bore testimony of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, the modern apostles and prophets, and just explained what we were talking about in the bible this week so well! (if you are someone who enjoys reading the bible, why not do the 'come follow me' program? You may ask: "Ma che cos'è? Message me to find out) And sorry to everyone else but then Sunday night I got
